In 1994, Congress passed the This Act, and the 1996 additions to the Act, recognize that domestic violence is a national crime and that federal laws can help an overburdened state and local criminal justice system.In some cases, however, the federal laws and the benefits gained from applying these laws, may be the most appropriate course of action.The request for reimbursement shall be submitted in the form and manner prescribed by the Office of the State Courts Administrator.From this reimbursement, the clerk shall pay the law enforcement agency serving the injunction the fee requested by the law enforcement agency; however, this fee may not exceed .
